This DVD is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specific training tool that focuses on how to create suicide safer communities and families. Suicide story includes a series of short films that feature the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as culturally appropriate animation, artwork, and music. The DVD is directed at interested community members and workers, and accompanies a 3-day training program.

This DVD would be a valuable learning resource for community members and workers who are interested in creating suicide safer communities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The DVD will lead to greater understanding about suicide in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations and will help the learner to develop the skills needed to intervene when someone is at risk of suicide.
