Description

Kasa Por Yarn is a radio drama that seeks to promote messages about living a healthy lifestyle to young Indigenous people residing in Queensland.

The storyline content and characters were developed in consultation with people from the Thursday Island community to ensure its appeal to the targeted Indigenous communities. The storylines generally follow a person's journey with lifestyle choices and there is a particular emphasis on sexually transmissible infections.

The radio drama is broadcast in Creole and local slang to broaden the scope of coverage. The radio drama is aired daily at 11am and 9pm on Radio 4MW and is funded by Queensland Health.
