Description

Funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC), University of New South Wales have produced the Management of cannabis use disorder and related issues: a clinician's guide.

These guidelines are suitable for health-care practitioners who work with a variety of cannabis-using individuals; providing a reference point for the management of cannabis-related problems ranging from occasional cannabis use through to dependence. Presentations may include mental health symptoms and/or behavioural disturbances. The monograph covers aspects of interventions, including assessment, withdrawal, and psycho-education. The guide includes recommendations for the provision of culturally appropriate treatment to Indigenous clients.
