Ear health protocol (2011)

Description

The Ear health protocol, ear health document provides definitions and information on managing otitis media (OM) and associated ear health issues. Written for health professionals, it includes procedural instructions and diagnostic and management algorithms (flow charts).

The Ear health protocol, preventing infections, appendix A, B, C document provides information on preventing ear infections and screening recommendations for health professionals. It includes sample hearing questionnaires grouped in age ranges, advice for families and friends of children with hearing loss, and information on developmental assessment.

These 2011 editions update an earlier edition (2008) using input from ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialists, GPs, a speech therapist and other health professionals.
