Recognising & treating skin conditions 2009 edition (2009)

Description

This flip chart was developed to assist Aboriginal Health Workers, health practitioners, and community workers with the recognition and treatment of scabies, skin sores, tinea, and other skin conditions in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The 24 page flip chart includes minimal text and photographs to demonstrate different skin conditions, treatment approaches, and follow up procedures. The development of the flip chart was a collaborative effort between Aboriginal communities, Menzies School of Health Research, the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health, and several other key organisations. It was produced by the East Arnhem Regional Healthy Skin Project and funding support was provided by the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Please be aware that the flipchart contains photographs of skin conditions that some people may find confronting. The resource is not designed for broad dissemination.
