Description

This appendix was written to assist primary health care providers (medical practitioners and health care workers) who are treating Indigenous Australians affected by the influenza strain pandemic (H1N1) 2009 infection. This virus mainly infects younger people. In Australia the majority of cases have occurred in people under the age of 25 years. This appendix to the 'Protect' phase of the annex provides practical advice on how to manage the disease.

An updated plan was produced in 2014.
