Description

This booklet was developed to teach Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people about different mental health problems and how to make change. It includes artwork, diagrams, and activities that will help with engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The booklet covers the following issues:

• what keeps people strong
• what worries can take away that strength
• mental health medicine
• making change.

This booklet forms part of a resource package that was produced by the Australian Integrated Mental Health Initiative (AIMHI).

When to use this resource

This booklet would be a useful resource for health professionals who work with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander clients with mental illness. The information in the booklet can be used to explain different types of mental illnesses, and how to develop strength and make change.
