Description

This form can assist in making the right diagnosis and has prompts to ensure that the right treatment is given to the patient for each type of otitis media. However, it is important to remember that more detailed information on treatment is available in the OATSIH Guidelines (view guidelines) or the CARPA manual (view details).
For each patient there may be a different diagnosis for each ear and therefore there may be more that one treatment regime. The process of circling the different treatment regimes reinforces that the different types of otitis media require different treatment and follow up.
