Description

The Healthy jarjums make healthy food choices resources were developed as part of a program introduced by Queensland Health.

The program aimed to teach young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children about foods that are good for their bodies, so they may improve their quality of life through better nutrition.

The Healthy jurjums resources aim to assist early childhood professionals implement activities and teachings from the program, as well as contribute to embedding Indigenous perspectives in the early years curriculum by teaching children about healthy food from an Indigenous perspective.
