Description

This four-page leaflet aims to raise awareness among local Aboriginal communities about suicide prevention. It was developed through Lifeline's Just Ask - Rural Mental Health Information Service and the Shoalhaven Aboriginal safety promotion program. The resource contains information and artwork relevant to Aboriginal people, and provides information on the following suicide issues:

When to use this resource

The resource was originally developed for the Shoalhaven and Illawarra Aboriginal communities, but can be adapted to suit any Aboriginal community. It has been designed for use by Aboriginal community-controlled health organisations, health services, Aboriginal health workers, and interested individuals wanting more information on issues relating to suicide, including identifying and responding to signs of at-risk behaviour.
