The Get on track challenge is a free, team-based healthy lifestyle program for adults in Western Australia (WA). It aims to provide an exciting way to help individuals make positive steps towards improving their health and virtually explore the WA landscape at the same time.
The challenge requires teams of up to four friends, family members or colleagues take a virtual adventure along a WA track. Official challenges are run by Diabetes WA and run for six weeks, or teams can create their own competition which can last for four, six, eight or 12 weeks.
Team members log in to the interactive website to record their daily physical activity minutes and fruit and vegetable consumption. The aim is to find 30 minutes of physical activity and go for two serves of fruit and five serves of vegetables daily. The website offers syncing with Fitbit, Jawbone and Garmin fitness tracker devices.
