Indigenous bush tucker gardens

 

Overview

As part of the Coles School Garden Grants Program, Coles and Junior Landcare fund Indigenous bush tucker gardens.

These bush tucker gardens are designed and managed by the Gunawarri Garden Project - a multi-faceted program, managed by a cooperation of Indigenous groups (ATSIECSAG, Circle of Learning and Essere). It focuses on connecting young Indigenous people and communities with the environment while teaching them about the importance of fresh fruit and vegetables (including traditional bush tucker foods) in a healthy diet.

The program is aimed at pre-schools and primary schools in NSW with high Indigenous populations and aims to:
