The Koorlangah Mia Program has been running since 2000. The program aims to improve the wellbeing of young people and their families through providing a supported playgroup and referral service for children and families in the area. The program, developed in consultation with Aboriginal Elders and other community members in Perth, covers topics including cultural child rearing practices and the impact of past government policy and child protection. The activities are often held with local elders to encourage cross-generational support and a strong connection to culture.
The Waminda Aboriginal Corporation closed in 2008, and therefore the program is no longer running.
