Journey Beyond Road Trauma

Overview

The Journey Beyond Road Trauma (JBRT) project involved the creation of a social networking website for people affected by road trauma. Members of the JBRT social network can find support, join online communities, tell their story or create a memory space in honour of a loved one.

The website can also be used in road safety education by giving young people access to very real and engaging stories about the impact of road trauma and the consequences of careless driving.

The JBRT website is managed by Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV), a not-for-profit organisation. The website was created by Sandra Cooke and Kerry Sunderland, with sponsorship from organisations including the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia and the Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation.
