Overview

The LungNet project involved the development of an internet based resource for clinicians and patients to enable them to identify the lung cancer support services available in their communities. The project targeted people with cancer, their families and carers (including Indigenous peoples) who live in the rural and remote areas of Queensland. The project aimed to:

• improve the distribution of information to patients, families and carers living with cancer

• increase the ability of consumer support groups to help people living with lung cancer

• enhance the quality of the support provided.

The project was funded by the Australian Government through Cancer Australia's Supporting people with cancer grants program.
