Ending offending

Run by Queensland Corrective Services, the Ending offending program is a culturally-specific program designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island offenders to help address aspects of their offending behaviour relating to alcohol use.

Ending offending is a brief intervention aimed at helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island offenders modify their drinking and offending behaviour. The program is based on a cognitive behavioural model and uses both active and experiential learning exercises that are culturally appropriate. It assists offenders to change their understanding, attitudes and behaviour in regards to alcohol use. It is available in correctional centres and the probation and parole service.
