Healthy Options Tasmania (HOT)

Overview

Tthe Healthy Options Tasmanian (HOT) program is being used by the Department of Health and Human Services and Eat Well Tasmania to help schools to improve food choices available at eating establishments within the school community. Schools may benefit from this initiative through the reinforcement of nutritional messages within the business sector.

Tasmanian Food outlets are encouraged to provide healthy options within their menus through the Healthy Options Tasmania (HOT) program. There is increasing demand from the public for healthy alternatives to the traditional takeaway food.
