Aboriginal healthy lifestyle program

 

Overview

The Aboriginal healthy lifestyle program is a three year program aimed at improving the lifestyles and reducing risk factors for chronic conditions within the local Aboriginal community.

The program promotes healthy lifestyle opportunities to Indigenous people with chronic health diseases in the city of Kwinana by:

The program will also promote increased physical activity in Kwinana by conducting a variety of exercise classes, including walking and dance classes. Other activities to address healthy lifestyles include nutritional education through cooking classes, diabetes educational sessions and educational sessions at local schools.
