Overview

The Koori diversion initiative, a component of the Illicit drug diversion initiative, aims to provide Koori clients with equitable access to alcohol and other drug (AOD) diversion options in Koori specific and mainstream treatment services. The program is delivered through Unitingcare Moreland Hall who employ a Koori AOD support worker to facilitate the delivery of these services to clients.

The Koori AOD worker provides court linkage support (such as facilitating communication between the courts and Moreland Hall regarding client's treatment progress), consultation and referral services, and recommendations on appropriate treatment options for clients.
