Overview

The Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Community and Medical Service employs substance use workers to deliver the alcohol and other drugs program to the Indigenous community of the far south coast of New South Wales.

The program delivers weekly support groups that offer a safe environment to provide counselling and facilitate detoxification and rehabilitation where appropriate. The substance use workers also provide advocacy to clients to assist them in engaging with health, welfare, offender and community services.
