Primary Prevention Project – Food Supply Action Plan

Overview

The Primary prevention project (PPP) food supply action plan aims to increase the evidence base of issues around food supply in urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the greater Brisbane area.

By working with organisations, community groups and government departments to support and deliver programs and trial initiatives that seek to increase food access, the expected outcome is to enhance the health of Brisbane urban Aboriginal and Islander communities.

The primary objective of the project is to implement four strategies that address a multitude of food insecurity risk factors:

These strategies will be implemented by several Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service sites in the greater Brisbane urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
