Overview

This program documents a school based nutrition project which aimed to increase students' capacity to make informed decisions about healthy eating in the town of Mullewa, Western Australia (WA).

Mullewa District High School employed an Aboriginal Nutrition Worker who collaborated with a nutritionist from the Department of Health, WA to implement the program. Positive results were observed in the community. The school considered the Aboriginal Nutrition Worker to be so valuable that they have continued to fund for the position through their core funding.
