Overview

The Healthy liver program is run through Nunkuwarrin Yunti - an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation that offers health care and community support services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Adelaide.

The primary aim of the Healthy liver program is to enhance the health and wellbeing of people living with hepatitis and other liver related conditions. The program utilises a holistic approach to health, focusing on issues such as housing, nutrition, and social inclusion as well as health care and treatment.

The Healthy liver program uses a multidisciplinary team to provide the following services: a specialist on-site clinic; pre and post hepatitis C discussions and blood tests; hepatitis C education and information; and hepatitis C treatment and support.
