Overview

This project, run by the Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services, focuses on environmental health issues in the Fitzroy Valley area of Western Australia including:

• plumbing and house repairs
• dog programs
  
• pest control
• maintenance and control of waste management infrastructure
• rubbish control
• professional development
  
• support for environmental health workers in the community.

During 2006-2008, the environmental health team made a decision to focus on key priority areas relating to environmental health. These included housing, rubbish and waste removal and water quality and dog health. The team aimed to build these areas of priority into programs undertaken by the Nindilingarri Cultural Health Services.
