Groote Palliative Care Support Service

Overview

This project, which operated out of the nursing home on Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory (NT), aimed to develop a culturally appropriate way of delivering palliative care to Aboriginal people. It also aimed to provide education and support for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health workers about culturally appropriate palliative care.

The project outcomes are outlined in a final report. The program was funded as part of the National Caring Communities Program.
