Overview

Healthy Living NT has cardiac education services based in both Darwin and Alice Springs and telephone support services for the rest of the Northern Territory. Cardiac education services include group and individual education for people with cardiac conditions and their families. A doctor's referral is required.

Education is provided by cardiac nurse educators and dietitians. In some classes a pharmacist, physiotherapist and behaviour modification expert may also be used. Interpreters are available as required. Education and dietary advice is available for anyone with any heart condition.
