From little things, good teeth grow

 

Overview

From little teeth, good things grow was a health promotion program created for Indigenous children in the Top End of the Northern Territory (NT). This program ran in partnership with the NT Nutrition and physical activity program and underlined the interaction between oral health and nutrition. The aims of the program included:

This program produced a culturally-appropriate, community-involved DVD which featured respected members of the community and professional Australian footballers. This program provides an example of a sustainable oral health promotion program in a remote Indigenous community in Australia.
