Go for 2 & 5 Northern Territory

The Go for 2 & 5 Northern Territory program was launched in April 2005 to promote the increased consumption of fruit and vegetables. The program encourages Territorians to increase their consumption to 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetables per day, in line with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

A range of activities has been held in all regions of the Territory, including cooking demonstrations, educational talks, sharing of policy development ideas, such as in school canteens and visits to schools and communities by Vegie Man who is the spokesperson for the campaign. Activity is coordinated on a regional basis to reflect identified needs in each area. To find out what is happening in each region, people are encouraged to contact their local nutrition team.
