Waltja early childhood and nutrition projects

Overview

The Waltja early childhood and nutrition projects aim to establish local and regional networks of support for community nutrition issues.

The projects started as a result of community concerns over childhood development. The region has now been working with women and families to establish support and maintain community based child care services for the past nine years.

Waltja has additionally developed training material to deliver Certificate III in children's services in response to community interest and the need to develop workforce capacity for early childhood services on the APY Lands in the far north-west of SA.
