Overview

The Hepatitis virology research program is run by the Hepatitis and Liver Disease Unit of the Royal Brisbane Hospital Research Foundation. The aim of the program is to enhance understanding of how viral hepatitis produces liver diseases and use such knowledge to improve treatment. The program is currently managing several research projects, with one such project investigating Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) strains in Aboriginal Australians.
