Telkaya

Overview

Telkaya alcohol and other drug (AOD) workforce are positioned within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health organisations across Victoria, with a small number within mainstream services.

The program is dedicated to providing support to Aboriginal AOD workers to prevent high turn over and burn out. Telkaya includes a Network Coordinator who liaises with key stakeholders to encourage and promote better linkages and collaboration between Telkaya network members, stakeholders and funding body. The coordinator also provides logistical training and information support to the state-wide network.
