Utopia program

 

Overview

The Utopia program is a dog health program run in Indigenous communities in the Utopia region of the Northern Territory (NT).

The program, developed by the Canberra Mob, aims to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Utopia by improving the health of the local dogs, reducing transmission of parasites, dog aggression and bite wounds, and skin diseases.

The program visits Utopia twice a year, and is operated in conjunction with Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC), who provide similar programs in other Indigenous areas.
