Orana Haven

Overview

Orana Haven provides an alcohol and drug rehabilitation service for Aboriginal people in the North-West region of New South Wales. It is an initiative of the Aboriginal communities of this region in response to the need for a safe, understanding, and culturally sensitive sanctuary for Aboriginal people with alcohol and other drug use problems.

Orana Haven aims to reduce the harm associated with alcohol and other drug use by providing care, support and guidance to help make difficult and profound lifestyle changes, and can refer clients to a wide range of services including local hospitals, Aboriginal Medical Services, alcohol and other drugs treatment services, and probation and parole services.
