Youth alcohol and drug treatment and support services

Overview

The Youth alcohol and drug treatment and support services program, offered by Youth Empowered Towards Independence (YETI), works with young people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island backgrounds and non-Indigenous backgrounds, aged 12-25 years who are at risk of or engaging in the use of alcohol and/or other drugs. The service works with young people who are wishing to reduce, cease or become safer within their use.

The target group includes young people relocating to Cairns, Far North Queensland, or engaged in transient lifestyles between Cairns and outside communities. The service provides support to young people who access the YETI drop in centre.
