The Indigenous Leadership program aims to build the capacity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to be leaders in their communities in the Northern Territory (NT).
The program promotes two-way learning and seeks to empower participants to become leaders in the Aboriginal community controlled health sector and is built on principles of respect, inclusiveness, diversity and ownership.
Through participation in the program participants develop skills in networking and confidence, and the promotion of cultural security in the workplace.
The program is supported by the Workforce and Aboriginal Leadership Support Unit at the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance NT (AMSANT).
