Bran nue me, better your health & fitness

 

Overview

The Bran nue me, better your health & fitness program was a health and fitness program for Aboriginal people who had a chronic disease or those at risk of developing chronic diseases in the Albury-Wodonga area of Victoria (Vic).

The program aimed to help the participants lose weight, improve their health outcomes and take control over their own health. Participants of the program were required to attend three sessions a week over a six week period. The sessions included:

The program was a partnership between the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service and Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation, Hume Health and Fitness and Indigenous sport and recreation program.
