Youth bail options program (YBOP)

 

Overview

Hope Community Services’ Youth bail options programs (YBOP) operates in Armadale, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Port Hedland in Western Australia.

These programs provide a safe and secure home environment for young people aged between 10 and 17 years who have been charged with a criminal offence and are currently on supervised bail. Young people are referred to the programs by the Department of Corrective Services when arrangements with suitable adults cannot be made.

The key long-term objectives for the residents of YBOP are:

YBOP is inclusive of Aboriginal peoples.
