Train the Trainer: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers Project

Overview

The Train the Trainer: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Project aimed to develop and implement different options to improve the accessibility and flexibility of training delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers.

This project was in response to a recommendation from the Growing our future report, the final report of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker Project.

The training will be delivered by the Aboriginal Health College, which forms part of the New South Wales Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council.

The project started in 2012 and is being managed by The Department of Health, Health Workforce.
