Police drug diversion liaison program

Overview

Run by the Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council (ADAC) of South Australia, the Police drug diversion liaison program assists Aboriginal people who have been charged by the police with possession of small amounts of illegal drugs. As an alternative to criminalisation, the person charged is diverted into the program. Referral for counselling and treatment is provided if appropriate.
