Get real experience and try (GREaT) nursing and midwifery program

Overview

The Get real experience and try (GREaT) nursing and midwifery program allows Year 10 high school students to get firsthand experience in metropolitan and country public hospitals through the Western Australian (WA) Health's Work experience placement programThe work placement gives students considering a career in midwifery or nursing an opportunity to get hands on experience in a hospital setting. During the students' week of work experience, they are rotated through different areas of hospitals, in order to see the broad spectrum of experiences that a career in nursing or midwifery can offer. Students can also be offered placement in mental health at Graylands Hospital.
