Aboriginal studies trail

Overview

The Aboriginal studies trail aims to give students an insight into the Kaurna people, the traditional owners and custodians of the Adelaide Plains. The trail invites students to reflect on Kaurna life before European settlement and explore the impact of this settlement on Aboriginal people. Aspects of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal culture are featured through out the trail.

Students develop research and social skills that promote recognition and appreciation of the heritage of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and other groups.
