Troopy respite program

 

Overview

The Troopy respite program provides a respite break for remote area carers in the Northern Territory (NT) and is run through the Frontier Services Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre and provides a respite break without the Carers or Care recipients having to leave their country. 

The service provides a four wheel drive vehicle (Troopy) and a trailer full of equipment for up to eight people (if required) which consists of:

The Troopy respite program coordinator works with other services within the community to develop the program to suit the needs of each community.
