Butt out boondah (smoke)

 

Overview

Butt out boondah (smoke) is a smoking cessation and healthy lifestyle program designed for Aboriginal communities in southern New South Wales (NSW).

The program aims to promote the key messages of:

Butt out boondah provides support to Aboriginal peoples in the local area and has a promotional film and four short videos.

The four short videos titles are:

These videos feature local Aboriginal peoples who share their stories about helping family and community to quit smoking or not to take up the habit.

A GP factsheet was developed to inform local GP's about the program and how their patients could benefit from registering with the programs available as part of the campaign.
