The Aboriginal and engagement and employment scoping project aimed to design and plan a program that would assist with engagement and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the disability sector.
The project also aimed to help 'close the gap' in Aboriginal employment outcomes and address the barriers for Aboriginal people with a disability accessing existing vital programs and services.
A report was launched in April 2013 and provides a basis for a Aboriginal engagement and employment initiative. The project was funded by the Disability Services Commission.
