Aboriginal alcohol and drug services (Aboriginal Alcohol and Drug Service Inc)

Overview

Aboriginal alcohol and drug services offers individual and family counselling for Aboriginal people experiencing difficulties with their use of alcohol and/or other drugs (AOD). The service also provides anger management, parenting support, assessment, referral and AOD education and therapeutic programs for schools, prisons and community groups. Prevention is undertaken through community development activities, which include camps for men, women and young people. In addition to direct client services, the program also provides cultural consultancy and advice to mainstream service providers working with Aboriginal clients.
