Mutuka project

 

Overview

Mutuka is Pitjantjatjara for motor car and the project seeks to train young Anangu to obtain employment as drivers within the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. The training will be conducted by instructors able to provide nationally recognised certification. The training will include:

It is anticipated that future employment for qualified drivers may exist in mining, station work, and various opportunities within the APY Lands.

The project commenced during 2011 and is run by the Umuwa Trade Training Centre and is funded by the Palya Fund.
