Alcohol and other drug treatment services (Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation)

 

Overview

The Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation in Wyndham, Western Australia, provides a 13 week residential rehabilitation program to community members wanting to stop drinking alcohol. Program participants take part in individual and group counselling, and are provided with information about the problems that dependence on alcohol can cause. Other services provided by the Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation include:

A 7 Mile Residential Rehabilitation Facility was opened to provide Indigenous culturally appropriate services after funding was received under the East Kimberley Development Package.
