Indigenous weather knowledge

Overview

The Indigenous weather knowledge project aims to document the weather knowledge of Indigenous communities from around Australia on a web resource.

The web resource includes information on the different seasons, as well as additional information on Indigenous interactions with the environment, and knowledge of weather and climate.

Weather information for different areas of Australia, is available via an Australian map, from which detailed information on each season is then available.

The website is the result of a joint effort involving the Indigenous communities, the Australian Government, the Bureau of Meteorology, and Monash University.
