Right step program

 

Overview

The Right step program supports young offenders who re-offend or who are at risk of re-offending. The program addresses a number of key areas to support young people and reduce the likelihood of continued risk-taking and criminal behaviour. The key areas include:

The Right step program is a free, confidential and non-judgemental service open to all people regardless of ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, appearance or financial status. The program has been developed through extensive community consultation and a partnership between the Victorian Police, the Moorabbin Justice Centre and Youth Connect. The program is currently operating in the Bayside, Glen Eira and Kingston regions of Victoria.
