Change-I am

Overview

The Change-I am program is provided by Centacare Country South Australia (SA) in partnership with Davenport Tji Tji Wiru Youth Centre. The program aims to prevent violence against Aboriginal women in the Davenport community by providing local female children and youth with a journey of self discovery, community participation and community education. Participants gain the fundamental knowledge and skills, and the desire, to build and sustain respectful relationships throughout their lives. Participants also deliver respectful relationship education to peers in remote communities where whole-of-population approaches to violence against women are unlikely to create meaningful change.

This program is funded by Department of Families, Communities and Indigenous Affairs.
